In a powerful display of community commitment, NFL players Sam Ehlinger (Indianapolis Colts) and Brandon Jones (Miami Dolphins) have announced their partnership with Texas Against Fentanyl, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and fighting the fentanyl epidemic, for the upcoming My Cause My Cleats campaign in remembrance of Jake Ehlinger, who was a brother and fellow University of Texas teammate lost to fentanyl poisoning in 2021.
These players have committed to help spread awareness on this epidemic that has personally affected them as well as communities across the nation, and as part of the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign, players have the opportunity to showcase organizations close to their hearts by donning custom-designed cleats during Week 13 of the NFL season.
Sam Ehlinger and Brandon Jones have chosen Texas Against Fentanyl to amplify the message of drug safety, education, and support.
The My Cause My Cleats campaign not only provides a platform for athletes to champion meaningful causes, but also encourages fans and communities to join the conversation and contribute to the organizations making a difference. Join us in applauding Sam Ehlinger and Brandon Jones for their off-field impact and their dedication to fostering positive change.
Together with Texas Against Fentanyl, they’re stepping up to make the world a safer place.
